Wow! I'm on the Design Team at StampNation!

Wow, I am so excited! Today I'm joining the Design team over at StampNation! StampNation is an amazing world-wide community of passionate paper crafters, founded by Catherine Pooler. Its a place where we can share our love of all things paper and be encouraged to grow into the best paper crafter we can be in a loving and supportive environment! I love it there! And I feel so honoured to be invited to be on their Design Team!

Please go and check out more info on StampNation here and I encourage you to join this amazing community! You will be so glad you did!!

Here are some of my recent cards that I shared with the StampNation Design Team:

SN Challenge: Outside Your Window

StampNation's challenge this week was Outside Your Window. We were to look out our windows and be inspired by what we see to make a card. We have a small black wrought iron table with 2 chairs outside our window, and I thought about friendship and how women love to share their lives over a cup of tea or coffee.

I stamped the image, embossed it, sponged the background, stamped some trees, and made some flowers in pots.

Gorgeous Grunge!

Gorgeous Grunge is a stamp set I never thought I'd want, but now that I have it I love it and can't imagine being without it! Funny isn't it?!?

I used it here with the flourish from SU's Baroque Motif, and embossed it. Hope you like it!

Lest We Forget

Today is Remembrance Day. I made this card for the Australian challenge on World Card Making Day at StampNation this year. It was in remembrance of our Aussie soldiers who fought for our beautiful country. I repost it today to remember again... lest we ever forget what they did for us...

Stampin' Up! Stamp sets : Horse Frontier, Serene Silhouettes

This is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from a stamping and papercraft magazine I had lying around.
I used Real Red, Sahara Sand, Naturals White & Soft Suede cardstock
Soft Suede and Real Red inks

Crayon Resist Technique

This technique uses a white crayon, sponging technique, and 2 colourful inks! I used Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. The stamp set is a retired set, Organic Grace.

1. Stamp your image randomly over a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Pick a stamp with some white space for colouring in with the crayon.
2. Colour in the flowers with the white crayon.
3. Using a sponge and Daffodil Delight ink, sponge over the flowers, in a circular motion.
4. Using a dauber, fill in the gaps with Melon Mambo.
5. Sponge again using Daffodil Delight, to blend the colours.
6. Embellish as desired. I stamped a butterfly from a retired set, Punches Potpouri, once in Daffodil Delight, and once in Melon Mambo, and punched it out, and layered them together.
7. I mounted it on Basic Black and Melon Mambo, on a Whisper White card.

Have fun being creative!!

StampNation Challenge #100 - Sketch

Both of these cards were made from the same sketch. Sketches (or patterns) are fantastic! They give you a plan, like a blueprint, and you use your creativity to bring it to life.

Dream!

I made this using the masking technique, and my favourite stamp set of all time, "Heartfelt Thanks" by Stampin' Up! The colours I used were Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, and Early Espresso.
